Beloved author and spiritual leader Henri Nouwen is remembered with five of his most essential teachings: Identity, Love, God, Suffering and Freedom. Deacon Pat is leading a course on these subjects as seen through the persepctive of Nouwen. All are welcome. Study meets in the Chapel on Thursdays at 11 AM beginning September 12th.
About Henri Nouwen
Internationally renowned priest and author, respected professor and beloved pastor, Henri Nouwen wrote 39 books on the spiritual life. His interests were rooted primarily in psychology, pastoral ministry, spirituality, social justice and community. After decades of teaching at academic institutions including the University of Notre Dame, Berkley Divinity School, and Harvard Divinity School, Nouwen went on to work with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
